About

Hi, I’m Gaby.

I started riding as an adult, at the same stable where my daughter rides. One of us is fearless in the saddle, and it’s not me.

Hoof Notes Journal is where I write down what I’m learning as a grown-up beginner, and what I’ve figured out as a parent of a horse-mad kid: what to expect in your first lessons, what gear you really need, and how to keep track of progress, nerves and small wins.

You’ll find honest experiences, practical checklists and printable riding journals, made for adult beginners and for parents who suddenly spend their weekends at the stable.

I’m not a riding instructor or a vet, just someone learning one lesson at a time. For anything about riding technique or your horse’s health, always ask your instructor or vet.

Happy riding,
Gaby
